Virtual entrepreneurial education workshops

The Keenan Center for Entrepreneurship is hosting a series of virtual entrepreneurial education workshops.

These interactive sessions are designed to cover core topics important for assessing commercial viability of technology-based innovations.  The workshops are geared toward grad students, researchers and faculty interested in exploring technology translation; early commercialization funding opportunities such as NSF Partners For Innovation (PFI) or SBIR; or startup creation.  The workshops will provide actionable content and time for Q&A. 

 

Value Propositions 

June 13, 2023 12:00-1:00 

This workshop will guide participants through the process of creating clear and compelling value propositions, discuss product-market fit, and provide templates and examples. 

 

Stakeholder Mapping

June 20, 2023 12:00-1:00 

This workshop will delve into the concept of stakeholder and ecosystem mapping, guiding participants through the process of identifying key stakeholders, understanding stakeholder needs, and aligning the value proposition accordingly. 

 

Customer Discovery 

June 27, 2023 12:00-1:00 

This workshop will provide participants with tips and strategies to conduct effective customer discovery: testing key assumptions about technology-based innovation ideas and the customer problems it might be able to solve better than current alternatives.

 

Market Analysis

July 10, 2023 12:00-1:00  

This workshop will discuss market opportunity, target and beachhead markets, and provide participants with tools and tips to conduct market analysis. 

 

Competitive Analysis

July 17, 2023 12:00-1:00 

This workshop will discuss the importance of key differentiators and will provide a framework for creating a competitive analysis.
