The CCTS’s Translational Innovation Program in partnership with G2G ConsultingBioOhio and Rev1 Ventures invites you to a FREE Live Webinar featuring NIH National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences to share about one of the best sources of early-stage funding, the SBIR and STTR grant programs of the NIH along with agency-specific programs and resources.

NIH SBIR program is the United States’ largest seed-fund and provides up to $1M funding support to a small business in life-science. Lili Portilla from NCATS will share the basics of the funding program, funding opportunities, and tips for building a strong funding application. Dr. Rebecca Jackson, Director of CCTS will present an overview of the commercialization pathway of translation and the CCTS SBIR/STTR Accelerator program.

This year, the featured Ohio-based bioscience company and the affiliated academic inventor is Dr. Michael Freitas who will share his story about co-founding a spinout from The Ohio State University, lessons learned and value of SBIR grants.

This program is co-presented by the Ohio State Office of Innovation & Economic Development andNationwide Children's Hospital's Office of Technology Commercialization along with other mission partners listed on the event webpage.
