Jeff Schumann

Jeff Schumann began his career in cyber intelligence before graduating from The Ohio State University, working with the CIA to intercept dark web terrorist communications. He went on to lead enterprise collaboration at a Fortune 50 company before co-founding Aware, an AI-powered security platform backed by Goldman Sachs. Under Jeff’s leadership as CEO, Aware raised over $100M and became a trusted partner to global brands like Delta Airlines, T-Mobile, and Walmart. The company was recently acquired by leading cybersecurity firm Mimecast in one of the industry’s largest recent private exits. Jeff now leads AI strategy at Mimecast and continues to advise and invest in startups across the AI and enterprise SaaS landscape.
