Sibs and Kids Weekend Brings Families to Keenan Center for Innovation

During Sibs and Kids Weekend at The Ohio State University, the Keenan Center for Entrepreneurship opened its doors to students and their families for a hands-on introduction to innovation and creative thinking. As part of the weekend’s activities, visitors were invited to participate in interactive challenges that offered a glimpse into the center’s mission: empowering students to think entrepreneurially and solve real-world problems.

“We designed the activities to be fun and accessible, with simple challenges that encouraged problem-solving and collaboration—things like building creative solutions for everyday problems,” said Shannon Bradley, program coordinator at the Keenan Center.

Lily Jones, a first-year marketing major with a minor in political science, attended the event with her two younger sisters.

Fourth-year nursing student Amaris Matting also brought her family to campus for the first time. “This is my senior year, so I’m looking back more on my college experience,” she said. “Finally being able to have my family here and show them where my classes are and what I’m doing—it makes me really happy and proud of my accomplishments.”
